My name is Travis, and I have an obsession for seeing how everything connects to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God has called me to pastoral ministry and affirmed that calling through His people in the local church.

After seasons in worship ministry, college ministry, and preaching ministry, my lovely wife Lauren and I moved to the campus of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in beautiful Kansas City. I have been blessed in this season to serve and grow with The Master’s Community Church and the MBTS Online Studies department.

This August I will complete a Master of Divinity, begin doctoral studies, and continue serving the local church. I hope to hone my understanding of God’s Word and grow in godliness during this next season, gaining confidence and competence in Gospel-centered, God-honoring, Christ-exalting, Spirit-empowered ministry.

You can read some of the things I’ve written at For the Church and Exegetical Tools. You can eavesdrop on some biblical studies conversations I’ve had on the Tool Talk podcast. In another life I wrote and sang songs, and if you really want, you can listen to some of those as well.

Look around! I appreciate your thoughts and feedback.
